Norbi Kovács (CZ)
Norbi Kovács comes from Šal'a in Slovakia. After having gained his first musical experiences, he moved to Prague in 1992 where he played in a number of bands (Stará cesta, Red Wine, Plazma and others) and collaborated with a number of vocalists, among others with the songwriter Radůza (1997-1998). He is a member of the groups Lokomotiva (for 6 years a guest in the TV show S politiky netančím), Růžový brejle (a founding member together with Ivan Hlas), Ivan Hlas trio and he is also a guest musician with the band PH 5,5. He has composed music for film and theatre (Dejvické theatre) and taught for ten years at the rock school of the club Mlejn.
Barek & Ghali (CZ)
Stanislav Barek and Adib Ghali graduated from the Prague conservatory (under Professors Arnošt Sádlík and Milan Zelenka). They have been performing together since 1989 and their main specialty is ragtime and its various interpretations. They recorded two CDs together: Ragtime Guitar a jiné speciality (Ragtime Guitar and other Specialties) (1992) and Beatlemaniarag-Ragtime Guitar II (1996). The author of most arrangements of well-known compositions for two guitars on these CDs is Adib Ghali. The second mentioned CD was released in 2002 in the UK by the prestigious label Prestige Elite Records Limited. Barek & Ghali perform mainly in the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria.
