History

The arts and production agency Taktika Muzika was founded in the year 2002 and focuses on organizing concerts of classical music and other non-commercial music genres, social events, accompanying programmes and exhibitions. An important pillar of the agency's activities consists of cooperation with leading Czech artists such as the guitar player Pavel Steidl or the violinist Gabriela Demeterová. Taktika Muzika also produces major charity and beneficiary concerts.

Each year, Taktika Muzika is co-organizer of the international music festival Guitar Accross Styles, which is held every October and November in Prague and in many other locations of the Czech Republic. As part of it, for example the concerts of Vicento Amigo, Tomatito, Paco de Lucía, John McLaughlin and Shakti, Tommy Emmanuel, Biréli Lagrene Gipsy Trio and many more top musicians have taken place.

In the year 2004, the agency has opened a series of concerts called „Rebelling Dames of the Czech Music“ in the City Library of Prague. Its protagonists became for example Iva Bittová, Lenka Dusilová, Aneta Langerová, Ester Kočičková, Jana Koubková, Dagmar Voňková, Bára Basiková, Ida Kelarová, Tara Fuki and many others. In the fall of 2006, a male version of this project named “Wild Men on Earth and Fools“ was established. There, artists such as Václav Koubek, Xavier Baumaxa, Eben brothers, Karel Plíhal or the Orff brothers have already performed. In 2010 both project also take place in other Czech cities and towns (Litoměřice, České Budějovice, Česká lípa, Benešov).

The Taktika Muzika agency also cooperates with Czech visual artists. A unique merger of visual art and music, the “Art Color Music“ project, has been realized at the Nostic Palace in Prague and in the state castles Velké Březno and Mikulov.

In the year 2006, Taktika Muzika participated in the celebrations of the Mozart anniversary, working together with the Arbor vitae publishing house. So, the show named “Mozart – Paintings, Sounds, Dialogues“ was created and then performed in many locations of the Czech Republic. The virtuoso presentation of classical music by the violinist Gabriela Demeterová and the guitar player Pavel Steidl was accompanied by spoken word of the actor Jaroslav Dušek.

Since 2007, the agency has cooperated more tightly with Arbor vitae and significantly participated at the accompanying programmes of many exhibitions, such were for example: “In Morbid Colors“ at the Municipal House in Prague, František Skála's exhibition “The True Story of Cílek and Lída“ at the Communication Centre Školská 28, “The Brussels Dream: The Czechoslovak Presence at Expo 58 in Brussels and the Lifestyle of the Early 1960s“ (The City Gallery Prague, 2008), „Decadence. Bohemian Lands 1890 – 1914“ (Brussels/ Namur, Belgium – an official event accompanying the Czech Presidency of the Council of European Union in 2009) or “200 dm3 of Breath“(Museum of Decorative Arts/ Hvězda Summer Pavilion, Prague – the exhibition of the toys designer Libuše Niklová and her son, versatile artist Petr Nikl, 2010).
